Summary

"Service was great and waited for me to check on something via phone."

"The manager (Sarah) was very unhelpful on a return of a broken eye pencil."

"Great experience picking up a gift for my wife."

We entered the store 10 mins before closing and during that time all assistants managed to notify us with the countdown 5 times that the store is closing soon. It was very annoying and we were not able to concentrate on our shopping. Announcing that all clients left the store after we passed the doors was cherry on top. We were not planning to stay after hours anyways it is totally disrespectful to kick clients out like that!

Hi Neli, thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback with us. We’re disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Your input and feedback are vitally important to us. We take pride in our client service and we will most certainly share your concerns with our team.

The staff here always give me great advice when I ask questions. Had a fantastic experience with Christine finding a new foundation that is cruelty free to replace my Nars products. I always appreciate the staff knowledge at this location and that they listen to my needs.

Hi Kat, we're so glad to hear about your recent experience with our Beauty Advisor at our Boulder, CO Sephora store and that they helped you find a new foundation! We look forward to seeing you again.

Last time I shopped at the boulder Sephora about a month ago, I left feeling awful. There is a hostility problem within the staff at this location, which starts at the management level. A few of the employees there have difficulty masking their contempt and are just plain mean. There were also some very sweet and pleasant folks who work there as well so I’m not trying to single anyone out. Let me know when something changes and I’ll return to shop there, but until then, no way.

WOW. I'm impressed by how poorly I was treated today. There was an advertised promotion in the store and when I made a qualifying purchase I was informed they were out of the gifts (32$ value). One of the managers came over and promised to find a way to honor the promotion, said she would put something together and walked away. I went ahead with my purchase and waited for her to return. After a few minutes I realized she was at the front of the store with another manager chatting. I stared to walk over and one of the managers sneered and told me to have a good day. Irritated, I went to my car and called a couple other stores. Sure enough another location had what I was after and put it on hold... just like any retail store should. Instead they chose to be rude and lose a longtime customer. Update: Sure enough the downtown Denver location honored the promotion and the service there was gracious and apologized for the poor treatment in Boulder. BONUS: The downtown Denver store is full of beautiful faces from a variety of walks in life. Worth the drive from now on.

Tania is the only reason I will go to this store, she is a kind individual who treats everyone equally no matter the person. She is always going above and beyond for me. She is so much wonderful.

Not great experience, I was not greeted and it felt nearly impossible to track anyone down for questions. Most employees were closed off and having conversation with other employees and not offering help to most other clients either. I was not offered a basket and had to scour around the store just to find one. Certainly disappointed and don't see myself shopping at this store again. I felt unwelcomed at this location and definitely recommend shopping online instead, better deals and help is offered.

I just want to express our gratitude to Faye for supporting our women this year. It meant the world to them to receive such wonderful gifts. We really appreciate you making our holiday memories so special. THANK YOU!

Terrible experience and customer service, no one greeted me when entering, employees stood around talking to one another while customers were waiting. Came in to redeem certificate to purchase Ombré Leather and no one asked me if I needed help so I had to track an employee down to unlock and grab the cologne for me. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with this location, don’t bother going, just buy online.

Rudest Sephora staff I've ever interacted with, and that is on top of the baseline rudeness you expect from most Sephora staff. And this is to the point that if I see certain people doing the checkout, I'll just drop the products I picked up and leave. Definitely prefer to do the drive to a Denver location or just go to ulta in superior.

I typically have a great experience at this Sephora. Today I went in looking for something to help how dry it has been, an older women came over to help. I told her my concerns, and that I also wanted something cruelty free. The women proceeds to whip her head around to tell me NOTHING is cruelty free. I’m sure nothing is ever 100% cruelty free, but there is a difference between supporting companies who use cruelty free ingredients and don’t sell in countries that require third party testing and say Clinique. It was awkward, but we continue. She runs over to First Aid Beauty (not cruelty free), I tell her I’ve had an allergic reaction to FAB in the past and can’t use it, which is met with an eye roll. She proceeds to go to Clinique products (literally also not cruelty free) and shows me a couple products. We then move onto Farmacy, which still isn’t what I’m looking for, but that’s fine. I ask about sunscreen, because my current one has been heading into my eyes. She tells me Clinique is the gold standard of beauty products and to look over there, which is wrong and extremely outdated to believe. I end up going with a couple different products after the weird experience. It would go a LONG way to educate employees on brands that are cruelty free from sourcing ingredients to being on the shelf (Biossance, Inkey List, Ordinary, Sunday Riley, Tata Harper, Amina) just to name a few that Sephora carries. I think this store may just need to re-educate it’s employees, especially on different products. Clinique isn’t the gold standard of anything, it’s 2022.
