    Summary

"1 person working the office, so can get a bit hectic."

    "The technician was great."

"I waited a couple weeks for my results."

Joshua Van Deren · 1 year ago

Mary did an excellence job! Even though the office was busy, she took the time to do my blood work which only took less than 10 minutes. Very swift with her job and professional.

Good experience again today, we have been going for years and had the same phlebotomist every time. She is pleasant with a no-nonsense demeanor and efficient. We bring our lab orders just in case they did not make it electronically and a couple times we needed them so it’s good to go prepared. She went over insurance coverage and got my son's blood drawn without any squirming on his end - he even said that he will never be scared again. We never had any issues - bruising or having to reinsert needle, missing/miss-labeled vials or anything else. Easy to schedule appointments online. Go with confidence!

The lady who works here is so aggressive and snappy, and the blood draws also really blunt and rough

Melony Gallup · 2 years ago

The female phlebotomist who works here is very rude and downright nasty. Also, she moved the needle in and out of my arm when switching the vials during blood draw (4 times). Any phlebotomist would understand that this would be painful and would create a bigger wound. She just didn't care. Will avoid this lab in the future.

I had multiple labs drawn here in September. The woman who processed me was working alone and seemed overworked. She was friendly and efficient at drawing my blood, but she struggled to find the correct codes for my doctor's lab orders; she tried to search for many of them on her personal phone's web browser. I waited a couple weeks for my results. When my doctor didn't call me, I checked to see if they had received my results; they hadn't. They had to spend a couple days trying to contact Quest and getting my results faxed to them. After all that, it turns out that the woman who submitted my labs had used the wrong lab code for one of them, so I didn't get the correct test results my doctor had asked for. I had to submit another sample -- this time I went to Boulder Community Hospital -- and wait again for the results. (This time they were done correctly and I only had to wait a few days for the results.) During all this time, I felt very sick and was waiting to find out what my treatment would be. It was quite frustrating to have to be sick for so much longer than necessary. So, if you absolutely need to save money on your labs, this little understaffed Quest lab might be your least expensive option in Boulder. But if you want them done right and done in a reasonable amount of time, I'd recommend spending a little more money and going to a different lab.

Lab techs were polite enough, but billing was an issue. They informed me of the incorrect price for my tests, and I was responsible for nearly double what I was quoted. This has now happened on two separate occasions with Quest Labs. When I called Quest to dispute my charge, they told me I had already received a discount from my health insurance and should be grateful.

Mary is THE BEST Phlebotomist we have ever had the pleasure to work with at Safeway on Arapahoe in Boulder! We are always so grateful when we arrive and she is there. She never misses and is a total professional! Greatly appreciated!!

The technician was great. She noticed in error in my lab order and fixed it saving me weeks of additional retesting from a faulty lab order. She knew the lab codes well enough to notice the lab code error in my lab order and corrected the code. She also was very friendly, respectful, and efficient.
