"Management refused to work with me and gave me store credit."
"Nice place, good prices, good service"
No wonder this company is going down the tubes. I purchased a refrigerator and their Total Tech service and had to cancel the contract. I had opened a $12k Best Buy credit line to pay over time. After canceling the contract over a week before I was to get delivery on the appliance, I noticed I still had a $2 balance on my Citibank Best Buy credit line. I called the store and found out it was for a Best Buy Foundation donation. I have no recollection of donating $2 to this and asked they refund the charge. They refused. They transferred me to Citibank who had nothing to do with the issue. I disputed the charge and it was found to be valid with no explanation. They threatened to report me to all three credit reporting agencies. Over $2. I could keep fighting this but it's obviously not worth my time. They lost a customer over a few dollars. Smart. I'll not be returning. You could do better elsewhere as well. I highly recommend Home Depot!
If there was ever a store to tell you something is wrong with the economy, this particular Best Buy would be used as an example. The store was barren of any help outside the front end, and the few that were further deep were taking down displays and could not be bothered. And the inventory they had was... Just as short stocked. With even movies being reduced to one small little shelf run. And parts of the gaming center are just flat out empty. Outside Switch, most PS5 and Xbox was just not kept clean or stocked. Thankfully, aforementioned front end crew helped me after my little adventure into a tech wasteland. And tracked down their remaining copies of Persona 5 Royal for Nintendo Switch. A newly released game with no indication it exists on the sales floor.
We just purchased a shark robot vacuum. They price matched Amazon which allowed for us to take it home that day. We love our new unit and it's saved a ton of time. Friendly and helpful staff.
Had a failed router but with my total membership all I had to do was bring it in. Got a replacement on the spot so I was back up and running that day. Service team was helpful, however you could tell it was busy & thin for staff as I was 39 minutes beyond appt time. No fault there as staffing is hard all over & they managed it well.
Not a fan. I took an Anker portable charger to the checkout and specifically asked what the return policy is. She said 30 days. Great I thought because I wanted to try it before taking it to Europe. My schedule got busy and because I was told I had 30 days to return it, I didn't hurry to get it back within 15 days so when I went to return it (way before 30 days), I was told it was too late. It had to be a Version linked item to get the 30 day return policy. Come on Best Buy, you need to make sure your employees know the policy to give customers the right information. I am now stuck with an Anker portable charger that doesn't recharge. Great! Thanks Best Buy! Not buying anything from you ever again.
Not very good service. My friend and I were looking at tablets. The young salesman was only interested in making a commission. I asked him a specific question about the tablet, he gave me an untruthful answer. When he figured out we weren't buying from him, He walked away annoyed. So much attitude.
Try calling Best Buy for anything and you'll realize how easy they have made it to buy everything online. They won't tell you were an item is or how to get it but they will badger you about becoming a member, waste your time, and do anything but put a human on the phone.
I'd give them 0 stars if I could. They sold me an open box phone reassuring me that it was fine but when I get home a few hours later there's a scratch on the screen.
Placed an order online for a gaming monitor. It's sad it would be ready within an hour and I got a text twenty minutes later saying it was good to go. They give you directions on what to do when you get to the store. All I had to do was show my email receipt and ID, and I was set. They also helped me carry it out to my car. Everyone was super nice and the store was very clean. Definitely recommend stopping in!
If there were an option for zero stars I would give them zero stars. We ordered a fridge and it was supposed to be delivered today. We have a confirmation email with that, got a confirmation call, and then when it didn't arrive checked online and it told us to schedule the delivery. I called customer service and of course they are now outsourced to the worst possible customer service support reps. The rep was beyond incompetent and told me the delivery driver forgot our fridge. He said he could have it delivered a week from now. Are you serious?!?!? When I asked for a supervisor I was told they don't have supervisors and he would get a manager from the store. He then transferred me to the store (without permission) which put me back in a phone tree. Did I mention that they don't answer calls at the store? You could rerouted back to the call center!?!?!?! I found the sales reps card and called him and he also passed the buck until I told him I would be driving to the store and speaking directly with his boss. He put me on hold to go figure out what he can do.... still on hold 15 minutes later. What a joke! Is customer service just non-existent anymore?!?!? Cancelling our best buy card once he comes back on the phone. It's not worth it! I'll order from somewhere else!
