We had a great time! Caden was very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us catch a couple of nice fish. The view from the river was awesome and we saw a lot of wildlife. 10/10 recommend!

Justin set us up with Ron Pecore a very experienced guide to fish the S. Platte at Deckers. My sis and brother in law are novice fly fishers and I wanted it to be a special day for them. It turned out way beyond my expectations. Deckers is a tough river. It was exceptional because Ron is exceptional. Ron picked apart the river with his uncanny ability to spot fish even in riffled water. When I tell you I've never seen anything like it I mean. It made the difference between maybe catching a fish or two to having each of them hook at least a dozen and land at least 8 incredible browns, cut bows and rainbows. Many over 16 inches. Ron is not only pleasant and funny, he's truly excited to see his clients excited. It's wonderful to see a guy thats been guiding for decades still as giddy as a teenager seeing clients land a beauty. Really the best guide I've ever had from getting us on fish in a very difficult river, making the right fly adjustments, and coaching novices on how to hook and net large, strong trout. I'm gonna use Ron a lot in the future. Minturn's a great fly shop. They hire great people and treat em right.

Super new to fly fishing. I went into this shop because it’s near by and there’s were 2 dudes behind the counter. Immediately I was greeted and asked if I need any help. Which I did. I told them I’m new to the game and they spent about 30 minutes figuring out what I needed and thought me more about lines, leaders etc I wish i knew their names but super cool dudes. I got in and out learning more than I did on YouTube over the past week. I cant want to keep coming back. Absolutely rad to place to visit.

I'm 18 and taught myself how to flyfish by watching videos and spent a lot of hours fishing and was thinking I was doing pretty good. Then, for graduation, I got a flyfshing guided trip with Ron with Minturn Anglers. I told my mom that I never knew I could be doing so many things wrong. He was amazing, taught me so so much more, was patient, funny and we caught fish (it wasn't just "fishing", there was catching). Highly recommend Ron, he's great! He also had great stories on how he started to where he is now.

This was place was absolutely fantastic. Everyone here was so nice and helpful. I’ve finally mastered the art of fly fishing and I couldn’t have had it better. A special thanks to Ben. This guy is awesome and he knows where the best fish are. 5/5

I haven’t been to many fly shops, but this one is top notch. Justin and his staff are knowledgeable on flies and gear, take the time to answer questions, and let you know when new shipments of gear will arrive.

Chris was so knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. We did the fly fishing school and learned so much about the river and the fish on top of learning about gear and technique. He was very up front and honest about this being a learning experience and the fact that we probably wouldn't catch a fish today. I still caught one, so that really put this experience over the top for me. I will definitely return in the future for a guided trip.

My wife booked me and my 10 y/o son our first fly fishing trip with Minturn Anglers, and it was an amazing experience. Our guide, Chris Opfer, provided top of the line equipment, exceptional service, and professional instruction. Chris had us both casting and catching fish in no time. Although I've fly fished most of my life, I had never fished in the winter or with a guide and would consider myself a novice-intermediate in general. From start to finish the experience with Minturn Anglers was terrific and I would highly recommend them! They made it simple to book my half day and were easily accessible for questions (what the heck do you wear under your waiters in February?). Tom Rushlow, my guide, was awesome - top notch! He was a great teacher and talented fisherman. It was a fun learning experience, laid back but also focused on success, and we caught four - not bad for 35 deg weather in February. I just absolutely love this place. The guys that work here are awesome and they always have good information and steer you in the right direction. My brother and I were relatively new (I was new again) to fly fishing and they made sure to get us set up without breaking the bank. They'll never try to upsell you unless it's really worth it (Justin just talked me into a better rod tube that is way more functional than what I was doing before). He is always up on good gear. Tyler is also awesome and knows a ton about flies and techniques and always takes time for you. My brother and I also took the fly school which really is worth it. It was informative and they get you out on the river. All the guides here are incredible. You can’t do wrong with Dwayne or Levi. I've had some bad experiences with some fishing guides and staff being pretentious and holier than thou, but you'll never find that at Minturn Anglers. These guys have a lifetime customer in me.
