Waited an hour to be helped, but one customer had 2 people helping him? Then I was told all my answers could be found online. Finally got some help from a person and the man told me I should only look at this one piano without letting me ask any questions about other models. Get to the counter and the only one is SOLD. I asked for a comparable model and cost and his response was 'i can't just give you 400 off' which again I asked for a comparable model for a comparable price. A little less narcissism would have been nice.

Was gaslit by the cashier when I went to buy a new guitar that had really bad fret wire. Like, they were sharp and would leave shallow cuts in your skin. Told me it was normal and was likely due to the humidity. Yeah, that was a lie. And thanks to the random woman who chimed in to also gaslight me into buying a guitar that wasn't in sellable condition, for full price too..

Very friendly and knowledgeable, good selection of items. Really look around they have hidden treasures. Only problem was told restringing my 2 Ukuleles would take 2 hours tops, 3 1/2 later did not want to wait any longer. Took them from them, will look for a closer store.

Got my Jackson restrung at this Guitar Center about a week ago, took it back in today as there was a slight vibration in my two low strings. Somehow, the guy took this chunk out of the paint when he was adjusting the truss rod 馃が馃が馃が. How does this even happen?? I take meticulous care of my equipment and now I have to look at this unsightly gash that will probably spread over time. Extremely dissapointed and very angry. Just because it's not a thousand dollar guitar doesn't mean you still shouldn't care for it the same. Be weary of taking your nice equipment here if you want it to stay nice....

Disappointed again!! Purchased a 12 string acoustic guitar last weekend. Noticed immediately when I got it home that several lower frets were dead on the high E string. One of the mangers called to check in last week and I explained it to him. He said to bring it in today and they would do what it takes to fix it. Took it in today and guess what!? The technician spent a half hour explaining to me why it can't / shouldn't be fixed. His recommendation was to hydrate it - no kidding! It was defective from the moment I bought it home and is obvious the tech just doesn't want to do the work. He adjusted the truss bar and now it's worse. Poor quality control and VERY poor customer service. And the bad thing about it is I knew better to buy anything from there based on other past poor experiences.

Drove up to the Englewood store ( once my favorite guitar shop) to buy a specific guitar they had online after writing to them and never getting a response back. Right away two of the workers were doing some oldies guitar lesson with the guitar I went up to buy. After about 30 minutes, I finally ask them about it and the grey haired punk employee says it鈥檚 the other employees guitar and they laughed and carried on with their terribly annoying lessons totally blowing me (and the other customers) off. And that鈥檚 my final Guitar Center experience and a shame for a business on life support that I have supported for years. Sweetwater and Chicago Music Exchange treat customers with so much more respect. ~Yet another disappointed former GC customer

I shopped online purchase a guitar amp never made the shipping to me it is now been almost a month and I still haven't gotten a refund on us something that had been taken off of my porch is what I've Been Told the store didn't even file a claim I had to do that online haven't heard anything greatly about filing a claim on the of the store that I bought the amp from but apparently I had to go online to do it which was something I was told didn't have to be done but I did so anyways as of today I still haven't gotten any word from the store about it or anything I'm not sure what's going on

Just came here right when they opened to get a quote on selling a Gibson guitar. Was first in store and told I was "on the bottom of the totem pole" and every single guest that buying something(approx 20 people in store) would be serviced ahead of me, even if they were just looking around. Was told to "hang tight" for an indefinite period of time. There were several better ways this could have been communicated and further it was very poor customer service. I have bought several guitars from guitar center and this was the first return. Good to know I am a priority only when I the one dropping money. Wont be returning.

Never been in this store before, amazing selection of all types of musical items and instruments. All the staff was welcoming and helpful great salesmen and friendly went out of their way to help and we're patiently understanding we bought a few things with intent to get the other few things we need later this week... Over all GREAT first time experience. Highly recommend it to EVERYONE not all at the same time of course with this 馃樂. . . . . .馃樂
