Every time I’m at this location- there is a gentleman called JOE that always tries to have an argument with customers and myself. Telling us what we can and cannot buy. Makes me not even want to go to this location anymore. Asks too many personal questions about the purchases which I understand the care for a pet & some concern, but I think he goes too much into detail and over exaggerates - even when myself or customers have done our own research. Yes, I’ve witnessed him twice be rude to other customers & 3 times with myself in the last year. Just put back all my purchases and left to go to petsmart. Been happening for over a year now. And by looking at reviews it seems like I’m not the only one that has had issues with JOE. Don’t let him help you

I came to this location with my mom and little brother as he really wanted to purchase a beta fish. He saved up as much as he could, and could only afford food, a temporary tank, and the fish itself. I told him the fish definitely needed a bigger home with a filter, as well as some things it could swim through. Anyways, we went to check out, and the woman wouldn’t even greet us, she just said “You can’t keep him in there” in a harsh/judge-y tone. We explained to her that it was only temporary and she proceeded to check us out. She then throws a tantrum about the fact that we don’t have the water conditioner and very rudely demanded that we go get some. So we stay calm and another, kind associate helped us and educated my little brother on why he needed the conditioner. I also told that associate how rude and judgmental the cashier was, and she replied by saying “yeah she’s having a really bad day, but that’s no excuse” I couldn’t agree more. My mom came running to find us in the aquatics asile saying she wanted another cashier to check us out. The associate we were with called over their manager, christina, and my mom explained everything that went down and expressed how the cashier was so rude she almost made my mom cry. Cristina just says “oh well i was standing right there and i didn’t think she was being rude. It’s our job to educate!” My mom got very upset as that is NOT the way to educate anyone, and we ultimately returned everything and left. I work in the veterinary field and i unfortunately do not know much about our aquatic friends, but i know how to educate customers and advocate for the pets, and the way she did it was completely unprofessional and COMPLETELY inappropriate. I felt borderline harassed at that counter, and what upsets me more is how my little brother felt. That woman didnt educate anyone, she just sat and judged. You don’t treat an 11 year old stranger like that. The manager sticking up for that behavior and lack of customer service was absolutely disgusting and i really hope you consider going elsewhere to buy things for your pets. I also found it pretty disturbing that people like this can sit and judge your every move, but left a dead beta sitting on a different part of the store for who knows how long.

Patty was very helpful with helping us pick out fish and reminding us of the 30 day guarantee of fresh water fish we were very pleased with the service and will be back again

I used to only shop at Petco but they lost a customer today over something in my opinion could have easily been resolved. My daughter and I bought a Bamboo Shrimp from them that didn’t make it through the night. Not being aware of the store policy about returns, my daughter disposed of the shrimp. I called Patti the “Animal Care Manager” and explained that we had the receipt, video proof that the shrimp had passed, and would bring the water sample in. Instead of being a decent human being and realizing the only reason you have to bring the body back is for proof of passing, refused to honor the return even though we had proof that the shrimp was no longer with us. In addition to this, the night we were there she was extremely condescending to other employees and customers. Getting frustrated because the young gentleman that helped us was I guess taking too long and said the shrimp he had helped us pick out wasn’t fit for our tank. Hard to have confidence in this team when the employees are contradicting each other. In my opinion get people in there that not only love animals but also have people skills cause Patti doesn’t.

The sales associate was very rude and unprofessional. Joe forced my daughter to buy a tank for a hamster. He claimed it was policy, which was written no where. I called the 800 and they confirmed it is not policy. My daughter was crying and I told him I would go all “Karen” and he said his name was Karen. His name is Joe and I hope he learns that I have told many people to shop petsmart right across the street. It is only the Littleton location that needs to be corrected. The manager heard the whole sale and NEVER came to find out what she could do. The other employees walked away, no one wanted to deal with Joe and his inappropriate sales techniques.

Peyton is amazing, she truly loves her job. Kim wasn't warm too welcome us, nor did she help my already frayed nerves by telling me"this is what happens when the owner doesn't come to drop off the dog" my mother in law is in a wheelchair from hip surgery. I explained this on the phone, I had a picture from Google, bc again, I don't know and planned heavily on the experts to help with the cut. I'll be sure to only work with Peyton moving forward. Never felt so inept and low as I did trying to do a good deed for my MIL.

This is a good location. They have a big selection of products and every section is well stocked. Everything is easy to find and the shopping experience is good. They have a good selection of live animals as well, all of which look well kept. Prices are standard considering it’s a big brand company. They don’t have a great selection of sale/clearance items which is a shame. The staff was a bit distant with customers. Though helpful, they lacked the strong customer focus. In general, it’s a good store. I’ll be returning regularly!

The grooming staff is not friendly and very unprofessional. Was made to feel like a bother when taking my dog to get her nails clipped. I was told to leave my name and number and I’d receive a call when I can bring her in since you can’t make appointments, and never received a call back!!!! Only using pet smart from now on for my 3 pets!!!!!!!

The Littleton store was very clean , I had stopped in to buy some freshwater fish on New Year's day. There were two ladies working in the fish area both were very nice and knowledgeable about fish . The tanks were amazingly clean ,as well as the area they were kept in.All in all a great experience.I'm now a steady customer.
