AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I had some transmission fluid leaks and they took care of them by replacing a few lines and doing a transmission service. I'm very happy with the service, been using this Aamco location for years and have no complaints. Plan on using them in the future as well.

A local mechanic that you can ACTUALLY trust. The Ft Collins AAMCO is an affordable, quality shop and I state my experiences chronologically as proof of my positive experiences: Summer ‘21 - my fiancé needed one tire replaced on her Jetta but no tire shop would touch her plastic lug nut covers, claiming they needed special tools. This is how we discovered this AAMCO for the first time. They removed the lug nut covers simply with no special tools, put them in a bag, handed them back to us and didn’t charge us a dime. Spring ‘22 - my fiancés Jetta needs engine code cleared for emissions as well as new front/back pads/rotors. They cleared the code at no charge and when we called around for quotes on brake jobs that day, they matched the lowest quote we received. The brakes have been great to this day. Spring ‘23 - I needed my 2016 4Runner’s Rear Main Seal replaced at 200k miles (issue arose around 155k but didn’t become a bad leak until recently) and anyone that knows this job knows it requires many hours of labor to remove not only the transmission and driveshaft but anything else blocking the way to the RMS. I’ve waited 5,000 miles to leave this review and I’m happy to say, the FoCo AAMCO did a stellar job!! No further leaking, no residual smells. My transmission feels exactly as it did. These positive after notes are key in appreciating the quality of work a particular shop can provide. I will be returning to this AAMCO and recommending it to anyone local for their repair needs!

The best shop I’ve ever taken a car to. They allow you to make appointments online and are ready when you arrive (they’ve read your description in advance, etc.). Asked me when I needed the car by and were ten minutes early. Price was very, very reasonable. Staff are friendly and professional. Will never take my car anywhere else in Fort Collins.

Wish I could give them 5. But after spending 7k on a rebuild on my Raptor, and it's leaking, after already having to bring it back twice. I just can't. Which is a shame cause the person handling the front is a cool guy. But that's way too much money to drop and not have it be perfect. I haven't so much as put a thousand miles on it since the repair.

I received several quotes and they were on the lower end. We live out of town while my 2 kids share the car at CSU. AAMCO was fantastic working with us over the phone and explaining in detail what needed to be done. But the what really made them stand out was on Friday afternoon when I called and told them we really needed the car that night because of a family situation and we needed the kids to come home, they stayed an hour past closing to get it done.

$1450 for top quality clutch replacement including new rear main crankshaft seal and flywheel resurfacing, plus 12000 mile guarantee at any AAMCO service station..... Sure, you could get Burt to do it for less in his garage, but why would you?

Brought my food truck here with a bad transmission. They got it in earlier than expected. Prices are fair, repairs are quick, and staff is courteous. I highly recommend them. Update! I thought I was having some transmission issues. I took it in, and it turns out it wasn't the transmission. They still took care of it quickly. This is a great shop in Fort collins.

AAMCO was the ONLY transmission shop which would even try to fix the transmission in my classic car, a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria. Despite the difficulties of finding parts for a 67 year old car, they got the job done!
