Where do i even start with this place. I mean took 8 weeks to get the trans replaced. Multiple misshaps, ignored us constantly owner of the shop joe needs to smoke some weed, i get running a shop is stressful but look what happend to your employee count, NOW FOR THe NAIL IN THe COFFIN. They left the transmission drain bolt not even hand tight. Guess what that means we lost over a quart of dct atf fluid and if i had not have caught that it would have destroyed the new transmission and even possibly caught the car on fire... huge mistake that could of been so easily spotted idk who was responsible for that. You know who you are buddy and so do i all i ask is that you do your due diligence as someone who also works in the same industry that will get you fired fast. 7k on a transmission just for them to leave the drain bolt lose and ruin it. Now im not saying things cant get turned around there are some good people there. Just if your going to go through ammco go to the northglen shop. You will probably have your car done sooner. Pics of all the leakage of the automatic transmission fluid vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Brought my car here because they advertised financing, and I thought I might end up using it. They offered a quote to basically look the car over for light repairs, and conduct the repairs once they’re found. They fixed electrical signaling related to splices near the radiator, made the rpm at 40 mph look “less odd.” The important thing to me is that they gave the recommendation that they’re supposed to give, instead of the recommendation that they want to give.
They had my car here all day and couldn't find the reason why my CVT transmission was overheating. I suggested changing the fluid and filters and was shot down saying that wouldn't fix anything. They suggested taking the whole transmission apart for $1500 just to find the root of the problem
Very bad experience! DO NOT GO THERE! They kept my car for 3 days and told me that I need to change the turbo and it should cost me around $4000 or more. They wanted to fix my car without any estimation/ document. They don't call to give any update during the 3 days they kept my car. I called everyday. After 3 days, I just pick up my car and go to another garage which gave me a detailed diagnostic and estimation. When you have to pay $4000 or more, the least that a garage should provide is a clear information.
We have no record of you coming to this center
Vacationing, driving from CT, with a failing transmission, Joe, Will, Chris, Jesse, were stellar in helping us with a new transmission in days to get us back on the road. Turn around in 4 days simply amazing!!! Thank you!!!!
I brought my truck to replace the transmission and fix the transfer case. It took longer than expected, but that's okay because they put it in the right. My engine light came on right after I left the shop, I called and asked them what was up. They took a look at it and said my oxygen sensor wire was sliced. They didn't have to, but they took responsibility for it and replaced it for free. Not a lot of owners would do that.
Thank you for the 5 star review We are always here to help
I encourage nobody to take their vehicle here they had my car for a total of two months they cracked my front windshield transmission is way worse than when I took it had to call the better business bureau my car still not fixed even after they got paid from silver rock and they are refusing to pay for my window worse experience every
I would like to stress how bad Aamco Transmission is on delivering customer service and communicating with their customers. I’m writing this review based on the experience my day daughter is having with Aamco. They have done nothing but lie to her from the beginning and has had her car for almost a month in half with minimum communication. They are just horrible at answering the phone and keeping you inform of the status of your vehicle. If you need to talk to someone, you will have to physically go up there because they do not I don’t recommend Aamco at all, please take you car somewhere else where you will get quality work and have people that communicate with you.
Please call us about your daughter Seems to be a communication issue
very unprofessional and i’m not impressed in the slightest. my car is having transmission issues and WILL NOT back up properly and the guy there really thought it would be a good idea trying to back it up a hill to turn it around when we went to pick it up and now it won’t even drive forward. be smarter and do better. would not recommend
Had a small leak on a road trip and they were able to look at the vehicle as soon as I got here and very quickly determine that it was just over-filled and blowing out the vent tube.
