I reserved a U-box over a month in advance and had the bill paid upon arrival. However, I show up and I’m told there is no box for me as they are sold out. The GM told me his supervisor said she had been “trying to figure out what to do with me” for awhile and I suppose just…gave up eventually? So the GM spent 40 minutes calling around trying to find me a box and I ended up having to drive everything I own repeatedly through Sunday traffic to Denver to load a box. The GM and the in-store staff were helpful in solving the problem, but the upper management seems to be abhorrent and have no regard for the time sensitive nature of moving.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Terrible service and disorganization. I ordered a hitch online and called the store to make an appointment. Showed up for my appointment at 7 am to find the store closed and no-one there. I called customer service three times that week. No calls back, no emails, no word from anyone. I finally drove to the store so I could talk to someone. I got reschedule with both a manager and employee working there who double checked the installers schedule. So I show up a few weeks later for my appt at 7am. The clerk said my appointment was at 10:30 and that I was wrong because her installer NEVER has 7 am appointment times. No call, email, or text saying the appointment time was different. Second time now, I’m not having trust in them so I canceled the whole order. After casually telling my co worker about this experience, he said that was probably a good thing and not to have it installed at Uhaul. He recently had problems with his car from the wiring not being correctly installed. Go somewhere else is the message!
Adding another terrible review to the pile. The absolute worst customer service you can imagine, probably worse than that. Go anywhere else. Reserved a pod, pod never showed. No call no email nothing. I finally track someone down and they refuse to take any responsibility. Told me they would give me a great deal on a truck since no pods. Okay fine, get home look at bill, of course they charged me normal full price rate. Ridiculous and unprofessional.
Charged me for TWO GALLONS of fuel when I have photo proof showing the fuel level was the same, if not higher than when I picked it up. The less zoomed photo is when I returned it.
When I entered the office building, there were 5-6 employees chatting around, and it took probably 2 minutes of me just standing there for them to end their conversation, and even look at me. He didn’t greet me, and the whole time he was pulling my account up he barely said a word, meanwhile his coworker was practically falling asleep on the counter. When I was “all set,” he still didn’t say anything to me, just slid over my receipt and the keys. Didn’t tell me where my U-Haul would be, and I had ordered additional items and I had to ask where I could find them/if he could get them for me. When we came back to return the U-Haul, we saw him outside vaping, and again, I had to be the first to greet him, to which he responded too casually,“what’s up?” The staff here was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and it was clear that they didn’t care about their jobs nor the customers. Please train the staff here to provide better customer service. The equipment/vehicle itself were fine. I will not be returning.
We requested a utility dolly and did not receive it, but were still charged for it. The store associate we interacted with had no customer service skills and threatened to call the police if we didn’t return the van by 5pm. I would recommend a more tactful approach with future customers and also paying attention to detail and providing requested materials. Or, not charging for them if they are not available.
Worst U-Haul experience I have ever been subjected to. The service at this location was terrible. When I arrived, there was no one there and after standing around someone eventually came from the back room and was clearly not pleased to see a customer. I provided my reservation details and they confirmed that they gave my trailer away to someone else. This is despite the fact that I could see 3 trailers of the size I ordered just sitting in their parking lot. When I asked them to fix it, the woman just responded by stating I would have to call the corporate line and there is nothing she could, or would, do to help. The service was just awful and I left without a trailer and without any help from anyone at the location.
This place is terrible. The store employee called my wife’s phone while we were in the middle of moving and I picked it up because she wasn’t available. He said “where’s my van? You still have it?” And I told him yes we are still moving that’s why we rented it, we were running late because of the rain to return it. He then said “Oh, the rain? You have until 5pm or I’m calling the police and reporting it stolen.” Then hung up on me. What the heck is this guy on?? This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, we were a few hours late returning it. Clearly it wasn’t stolen and on top of that he didn’t include the dollies we put on our order. Then, when I returned the van a couple hours later they still charged us for the dollies and an extra day of rental. This place is a joke, worst customer service ever. 0 out of 5 stars.
The check out was fast and courteous. The van was clean and ready to go. The drop off was efficient. The customer service was friendly and helpful. We appreciate the good experience! 😊
Do not go here for propane refills. Go to Loaf N Jug by Harmony and College instead. Why? I had bought some tanks from this location a few years back and had gone here before to fill this up. When I went before, it was OK. I ended up having to wait a long time for service (as people who are renting trucks have a bunch of paperwork--I get it). Before going back today, I tried calling to see how late they were open. But when calling the local number to ask about how long after certification of the tank they continue to fill them (10 years) and whether they swap out tanks, I could only get the 800 number reservation number people to answer. I also asked the hours that they did refills and they gave me the hours of operations (open until 7PM that day). When I got there at 6:35 or so, I waited in line and talked to one employee who told me I'd need to wait for another employee who did the refills. After 10 or 15 minutes, he was free. But he said that although he had not yet closed the propane refill station, he could not do this after 6:30. Apparently no one else knows about this rule (not the two reservations people I talked to as they tried to connect me to someone at this location). Given he had not yet closed this, I asked if he could do this. But no luck. So I found that Loaf N Jug down the road does this until it gets dark. You do not have to wait forever for someone to be available to help and the people there are nice. So no more UHaul for propane for me. Other places are way better!
