We had a extremely positive experience with purchasing my moms car at CarMax in Loveland, CO! Kaiden Yates was an AMAZING help! He was very patient and understanding, and went out of his way to help make sure everything went smoothly- while also ensuring we understood every aspect of the process. I could not recommend them enough! Will definitely be purchasing from this location again in the future.

While all the staff encountered here were very polite and professional, the overall CarMax experience was not too impressive First, I figured the overpriced i wanted might be worth the convenience factor. I had it shipped from San Antonio. It took quite a while and cost $500. When I finally was able to look at the car, I could only test drive it for 20min because of some titling issue. Was told it could take another week for the title. So two weeks in, $500 later, still can’t buy the car. On the 20min test drive, I realized the vehicle was a former rental and the number of nicks and scratches to the paint, trim pieces, etc. were abundant. These were things that were small enough a camera couldn’t capture in the online pics but in-person were painfully obvious. A piece of trim on a seat was also missing - which they promised to order, but who knows how long that would have taken. Also, the car had been through detail but there was juice splashed on the back of the seat still. They don’t do a good job cleaning/detailing. Now, if they would have offered to drop the price, I might have forgiven the cosmetic blemishes but I ended up finding the same vehicle, CPO, a year newer, 15K less miles, higher trim level, AND $3K cheaper in another state… and have it delivered before the CarMax car would have been available. Then, my pre-approved % rate for finance with CarMax was over 3% higher than the banks and other dealers I considered.

I bought a car here in January. I probably could have gotten a “better” price if I was good at haggling and wasting my time at a regular dealership. What I did like was the absolute ease in purchasing. 1) staff were super friendly! 2) I got to take it for a decent test drive the first day- then even got to take it home that night to see how it worked for 24 hours. 3) I have a 30 days to change my mind and 90 day policy for anything that might need to be fixed. Super confident in this purchase will buy from them again.

This was an irritating purchase. This was my second purchase from this company. The first was a fine experience but the second was irritating. When I bought my second vehicle from them, the salesman would not stop raving about how great he was at his job. It took more than two hours to get all the paperwork finished even though I already had everything planned out when I bought the truck. I still didn’t get the required paperwork from them to purchase my license plates and title so I had to follow up multiple times and take time at the DMV to buy more temporary plates. Just now when I called the second time in a week to see if they have the necessary paperwork, the guy hung up on me after he offered to reimburse me LESS than the cost of the temp plates and I told him that wasn’t okay. They just didn’t offer a good experience and they lost me as a customer. Save money and shop elsewhere because this experience sucks.

A very stressful and disappointing experience ! We had a car transferred to our location (thank goodness, it was a free transfer!). We went for a test drive, then took it for a prepurchase inspection. It came back with less than 2mm left on the breaks (shows that their inspection level is not as thorough as they say). This happened on a Friday. Our sales rep, Jacob, informed us that the car will be looked at that following Monday and will keep us. Monday happened, no follow up, so I contacted them. Car has not been looked at yet, and we were told it will be done the following day. Tuesday arrives, no updates. I called and talked to the manager Savanna, who apologized for the delay and promised to keep us posted the following day. It is now Wednesday, no one follows up. I tried to reach out Savanna, who wasn't available. I was supposed to get a call back, which she never did. Fast forward, we are +10 days, and nobody ever called us back. I stopped calling after calling 4 times overall. Took my business somewhere else. I do not understand why I had to chase them to spend my money there. It is overall the WORST car purchase experience I have ever had. They do not seem to care whatsoever. So maybe I just happened to have been with the wrong salespeople. But they for sure will never see me again. It has been a very stressful and disappointing experience.

The staff was universally welcoming and eager to help. My purchase went through with only one hitch, but it took 2 weeks to receive the title despite the fact that I paid cash. The car was as described online and I found no hidden defects. I'd give 5 stars but the Automated phone system is an absolute "AI" nightmare and not one of the business cards I received had an employee's extension#. Almost a deal killer as I was flying from Alaska to pick up the car.

Worst experience of my life, bought a jeep in April 30 miles later check engine light came on and several other mechanical issues, called and 3 weeks before they could look at it. Then 3 more weeks before they got parts in. Have given the jeep back to us after they said it was fixed TWICE and both times within an hour the check engine light was back on. Last time they gave it to us, we could smell gas and antifreeze in the cab. Has had an issue with the front end since we bought it, tires wearing funny. They told me it was because we didn't rotate the tires enough, front end has been making noise, they rotated the front tires and showing wear 200 miles after. Service department won't return phone calls. It's been 4 months since we bought our jeep and it's still in the shop. Been in the shop for over 2 months. No communication and zero knowledge. Actually told us they were fixing a part on "goodwill" after it came out of their shop broke. Jeep was supposed to come with a soft top, 4 months later no top still.
