Summary

"Extremely helpful and quick staff that delivered excellent tasting food!"

"Good prices on products displayed within a clean and well ordered space."

"Even Costco can't beat their deals this year!"

Jennifer Vero · 1 year ago

Love my Sams club! The scan and go is amazing and the very berry yogurts are delicious! The only thing I am not a fan of are the phone salesmen always approaching me lol I know it’s their job tho and I am a very approachable person so I take it as a compliment. Also it was super clean last time and the cafe ladies are AMAZING!!! 5 STARS! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Big, clean parking lot. Clean bathrooms are nice as well. The cafe was busy but the workers were excellent serving everyone. The food was nice, even if the cheese pizza wasn't the freshest.

This store is clean and never super busy. I think Costco has better products and generally provides a more enjoyable experience. Sam's Club scan -and-go is a nicer perk.

Now that the new Costco is open, I can compare the two stores. Severe food allergies rule our life, and it’s becoming harder and harder to find food that won’t literally kill our son. Sam’s has plenty of food in the bakery, deli, rotisserie chicken, etc. that are free from nuts, sesame, and soybean. Costco, on the other hand, has literally NOTHING safe in the deli/chicken/bakery for us to buy. Every staff member at Sam’s has always been helpful and friendly. The store and restrooms are always very clean. I love using Scan and Go, I never have to stand in line for anything. The app even allows me to add on items if I forgot to scan something or see something else I want to purchase before exiting the store.

Sam's is always nice to go to. Great prices on clothing and some of the food items. Almost always get a cheap delicious lunch at the snack bar. Parking is easy and using the self checkout feature is so quick, nice and easy. I don't know how Costco competes taking limited credit card options, no self checkout and checkout lines to the back of the store.

I'm a third party secret shoppers for observa. I went into the store at 8:23. The store closes at 8:30. The entrance doors were locked, so I went in through the exit and told the front end lady that I just needed to go inside and take a picture of a certain product, showed her and the manager my information and said I'm not buying anything as well. Just quick in and out. They told me they could not let me in because they are closed... they are not and in the 3 minutes it took them to deny me entrance for my job, I would have already been done and walking out at exactly 8:30 when they actually close. I walked out at 8;27. I've heard great things about this place but the fact that they couldn't stay open until the time they advertise (10 more minutes) is ridiculous and disappointing.

Update: I was contacted by the Sam's club assistant manager on the same day. He apologized for the experience I had today and said he takes these issues seriously. He was very sincere in his efforts to make things right and provided me a free membership until next year. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to track and call me so soon and attempt to resolve the issue in a polite manner. This is the type of service that I have had over the past couple of years. I am going to continue to shop in Sam's club alongside Costco :) Costco can't be better in every way and have better deals in every product category, can't it? Original (removed some personal comments since issue is resolved) I have been a customer for the past 2 years and have had great experiences and the store had great deals all the time. But I had a pretty bad experience today. I didn't want to rant about this but this was shocking to me. I was at the store today and since I wanted to try out Costco, I wanted to cancel my membership. The membership renews automatically and it already did for this year several months back so I had just wanted to prevent it from renewing the next cycle. I shopped around for some items but didn't want to pay for the items first since if so I had to exit the store, put all the items in my car, and then come back. I went to Member service area and asked them to cancel my membership but asked them if the membership will be cancelled immediately or will be valid for end of the cycle. I handed over my card to an associate named Zuleika and she said "Wait" and didn't reply to my question. I asked the same question a second time but she didn't answer and just kept looking at the machine. She moved over to a different system and asked me to insert my credit card. I told her "Hang on, I have some items that I still to pay" and showed her my cart. I asked her again, "Will this be cancelled immediately?". Then she tells me that the card has already been cancelled but she told me that she can scan the items at her system. So I get the refund and she swipes a generic store card to start processing my items. However, the scanner was charging so she wasn't able to. She called over another person, who seems to be the person in charge, who flat out said "you cancelled your membership so you can't purchase those items" I tried explaining the situation but she didn't want to listen. This person was rude and didn't try to help someone who was a valuable customer until 2 mins back. She kept repeating, "you are not a member". Sam's, to have someone this bad at customer service in charge of the Member services department is a bad business decision. There are a number of ways that they could have handled this better: 1) They could have answered my question early at which point, I would asked to just prevent the automatic renewal. 2) They could have processed my items as the first associate Zulieka said she would. OR 3) Politely said, "I am sorry but your membership has been cancelled. Store policy doesn't allow me to use the store card" But nope, they had to take on a rude attitude. A polite associate at the Member services counter could have retained me as a customer for at least the next 8 months. Instead, you gave me a refund and lost out on all the business and the accumulated goodwill over the years. I wanted to try out Costco for its hype but genuinely thought I can come back and renew manually if Costco wasn't better.

Sams is awesome, and they handout samples, cook samples of different foods. We sampled sliders there yesterday, and became our dinner for the evening. Patties cooked to a perfect medium with all the trimming! Prime Steak slider sized patties, 18 pack for 12.00, and they had slider buns, better than the Hawaiian ones even, 24 pack for 6.00. We had a fun family night cooking and eating sliders around the kitchen island!!! The 5th star, would be added for over all SAMS value, is some things were a little cheaper. There shouldnt ever be anything cheaper at walmart, than in their own big box store. Just sayin

Not a bad store, everytime I walk in I get pounded by the AT&T sales people just short of harassing does NO mean anything anymore. Management needs to talk to these people but they won't.

Loved the worker who ran up to us and wanted a photo with our shoes. The pride cupcakes we got are gorgeous. Thanks.
