Summary

"What happened to customer service that staff is hanging up on people?"

"The assistant manager and the store manager offer the worst customer service."

"Waited 40 minutes just to get to the point of filling out vaccination paperwork."

Scheduled an appointment for some immunizations for travel. When checking in the blonde haired lady chuckles as she tells my wife it'll "be a few minutes". After an hour of waiting, watching countless walk-ins come in and then get their stuff, wait and then leave. It feel like the appointments are lower priority vs the walk-ins. I have never really understood what takes pharmacists so long to count pills and put them in a bottle and slap a label on it. Robots could easily replace this stupid profession, the robots cannot come soon enough. This Walgreens pharmacy is by far the worse one on the entire planet, dont trust them to stick you with a needle, they can't even keep up with counting pills to put in bottles... DERP...

This pharmacy and Walgreens does not deserve the bad ratings it has received so far. I had to spend an hour and a half here due to issues with the numbers and a claim on a prescription needing to be sent through and fortunately the staff was particularly kind, patient and hilarious to boot! I truly appreciate John and the pharmacist at this 24 hr Walgreens. Thank God for them honestly! Also Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois was a good choice but you know its so much pressure to be the ONLY 24 hr pharmacy working and serving people medications when they need it the most. By saving on prescriptions I only had to pay $90 total when I could have been paying around $600-700. I’m grateful and amazed.

Pharmacy rating only. They desperately needs more support. They are never on time, you wait forever for stuff, they keeps you on hold and hang up on you. Consider going to the other walgreens on parker road, they are better staff.

I went to pick up a prescription for my daughter and they told me it would be ready in 30 minutes. I came back after 30 minute and it was not ready. They told me another 20 minutes. I went back 20 minutes and it still was not ready. I was told to wait another 10 minutes. Finally it was ready for pickup. Go somewhere else to get your prescriptions filled. They have some real issues getting prescriptions filled here.

This review is mainly for the store in general and specifically the photo print services. I have not used the pharmacy in several years. For several years I have used the online photo services to get prints made but after the poor experiences I have had recently I have stopped using them. I understand the remodel of the photo department caused delays but we had know way of knowing the website did not account for this and when we arrived to pick up the photos were rudely told that it "the website was inaccurate" When we returned the next day to pick them up the clerk acted annoyed that we had photos to pickup and was inconvenienced. The next order I placed 4 pictures have were blurry and color was way off. That was the last straw with the photo department. I gave up on the entire store when the checkout clerk was very unfriendly and ate his lunch while scanning our items. The store is horribly managed which is a shame as it was my go to store based on location. I switched to CVS since all of this occurred.

I sent over 100 digital photos for printing but when I went to pick them up they didn't have them. Not one. This was the second time this particular Walgreens has lost my photo prints. Always got them here before but never again. As for the store itself, I'd come here far more often to shop and I'd even transfer my prescriptions except it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to get into and out of this place! One way in and one way out and you have to go a mile around either way. Poor planning on their part when building this store.

The store is fine, the people are great! It seems like most have issues with the pharmacy, and while I agree that that process can be a pain in the rear sometimes. I don't mind as they are so short staffed it's understandable.

Edit: I just called to inquire about my prescriptions 5.14.23 and literally had the person who answered the phone argue with me AGAIN over why no one bothered to call me about my prescriptions being ready. Claiming I’m not signed up for text messages when I get 2 phone calls a day from you telling me prescriptions are ready for the last 3 years of going to this location. I just had your pharmacist argue with me on the phone. Extremely rude. A MONTH ago my 2 prescriptions were sent in by my doctor. I called two weeks ago, to be told 1 was ready, and the other was not in stock, and someone would call me when it was... two weeks go by, no phone call. So, I call this morning to be told my 1st prescription was sent back and the other isn't in stock, and that nothing was processed in the system. Not only does the drive thru move painfully slow... but so does getting your prescriptions! I will be moving to a different business for my prescriptions. Absolutely appalling

I have been in pain for 3 weeks waiting on my medication because the pharmacist "had a question" for my provider. This is not a controlled substance or even an oral medication. All I needed was RX strength steroid cream and it has been HELL dealing with this pharmacy. Every time I call, I am on hold for at least 20 minutes. Apparently, my doctors office was able to get a hold of them on 1/9, but my prescription still hasn't been filled. What questions did this pharmacist have for this basic steroid cream that has prevented them from filling it? I asked as I'm also a medical professional and was trying to help clarify; they never even told me what the confusion was about. It's a standard dose, standard count that comes in a box. I do not ingest it and I've had this medication before. Really, what is the hold up? I've transferred my RX elsewhere. I'd call to tell you to cancel it but I cant even get through...

If I could give this zero stars I would. Store itself is usually fine but the pharmacy is the worst I’ve ever dealt with and this was even pre-COVID. I’ve waited days for prescriptions, had issues with insurance I was never notified about, and their vaccine appts are never on time. Their system is horrible, it’s always short staffed, you wait in line hours in store or on the phone to never have your call answered. I honestly have no idea how this pharmacy is even open any more. It shouldn’t be! Walgreens needs to figure out why it’s so bad, but clearly seeing the other reviews here… they don’t care. Surprised anyone wants to work for them. I feel very sorry for their pharmacists as we know it’s not their fault but the horrible corporation they work for. If you can go ANYWHERE else, do it. If you need lifesaving drugs you’ll probably die waiting.
