The pharmacy normally fills prescriptions quickly however, picking up your prescription is a completely different experience. The past three times I've used this pharmacy I have waited in line at the very least twenty minutes. Since this continues to be an on going issue I will be looking for a new pharmacy.
Went to store to buy dermatologist cotton gloves. There was 3 young female workers, a girl attended me, scanned the item and said it was 9.13$ I handed her two 5 dollar bills. She said her manager has to check all the bills. Her manager was taking a long time so I said I’ll pay with card, she said she couldn’t because she pressed a button for cash payments already. Manager came and said they were fake and accused me of making fake dollar bills. I asked how is it fake? She said, “because I know” I told her to explain how does she assume they’re fake. She lift the bills up to the light and said , they don’t have a face, they’re suppose to have a face when you put light behind them. I gave her a $50 dollar bill and she said she wasn’t gonna give me my bills back. We started arguing and then she threw my $50 on the counter and said she wasn’t gonna sell me anything. I felt so humiliated in front of a lot of people in line. I got out and went to store next door and changed a bill for $5s and none of them had a face. I asked the man in the store to check them with the pen to verify they’re real. Went back to Walgreens and showed the manager that 5 dollar bills don’t have a face. She said she didn’t cared and wasn’t gonna give me money back. I called the 911, police showed up explained what happened , officer went inside got the supposedly fake money and verified that my money was real. Cop did a report brought me back my money and said that the manager does not want me in the store. I don’t know if this girl (manager) treated me like this because I was talking in Spanish at first or because she wanted to go home already but that is not the way to treat a frequent custom and I think you guys should do something about it, because nobody even apologized. .
Usually this place is very slow and the people working here look like they have it terrible at this location. Make sure you bring a book or a steam deck or something to amuse yourself while you wait in line. Also, be ready to leave your car because sometimes they close the drive-thru window altogether. Every now and then, I have a nice positive experience with the pharmacist if I can show up at the right time.
Pharmacy staff is nice, but overwhelmed. I couldn't discern that they made any effort to seek out medications that were in limited supply. I changed to a different pharmacy and now these RX are getting filled in a timely manner. Also misplaced prescriptions that were already filled several times forcing me to have to come back. I wish them luck.
This store should get more than 5 stars. I'm shocked it has just 2. The employees are beyond polite and helpful and the guys in the photo section are amazing. Give them a raise. Most places like Walmart and Target don't do photo processing anymore, and Walgreens in one of the last places to still do this. They were literally swamped with orders for Christmas cards and yet they were polite and helpful to all who came in. They have to stop what they are doing and help people at the computers process their orders. I have not experienced such a nice level of customer care in many years. It warmed my heart and restored my belief in humanity to see how unbelievably nice the employees were at this store. Alex I think was one of them. Good job Walgreens!!!!
Sharon, works in the pharmacy, appears to hate her life and hate anyone who enjoys theirs. She goes out of her way to not help customers. I showed up at the pharmacy drive-through with two cars ahead of me, I get to the window I sit there for about a minute and then Sharon tells me that they’re on lunch break. So I wait half an hour and I get my prescription that is normally $80 and it cost $700. I just switched insurance companies so I was very confused as to why the prescriptions were $700. Sharon saw me struggling with whether to pay for it or not and never said that if I did pay for it it was not refundable. Well you probably guessed it, they will not refund my $700. Mike, who also works at the pharmacy said yes he would give me my money back but Sharon intervened and tore up the return slip. I talk to the manager George, who did not listen or care about how I was treated. George is probably afraid of not pleasing Sharon. This pharmacy is horrible and I will never walk in to a Walgreens ever again .
Walgreens has really gone down hill but this has been the last time I will ever support Walgreens Corp. After trying to obtain a gift card that is completely inactive. Walgreens and the manager refused any kind of assistance at all. We are now escalating the case to the corporate office and Amazon for the gift card. Your customer service or lack there of was the cause for us never shopping at Walgreens again. I will make sure I move all of my prescriptions to kings soopers..
Had my Covid booster shot appointment two weeks in advance. I show up on time and the pharmacy had closed early during their normal business hours on a Friday. No call, no reschedule, no help, nothing. This is happened MULTIPLE times recently. You have an appointment or something ready to pick up. You arrive on time/during their absurd hours and get greeted with a big metal door barricading the pharmacy off as closed. The people in the parking lot coming in for appointments weren't called either. The "manager" LIED when he said they called. I will NEVER set foot in this walgreens again even for a bottle of aspirin, which are likely not stocked. And don't give me supply chain or staffing excuses. Your competition and even other Walgreens are stocked and staffed despite current global struggles. Something is wrong with YOU.
This Pharmacy location is really getting a well deserved reputation. The service here is among the worst I have ever seen. As a pharmacy you have a duty to have peoples Rx’s ready in a timely fashion. Apparently after having the Rx from the doctors office for a nearly a whole day, you can’t even wait for it when you show up. I was told I had to come back in a couple hours. If someone is standing in front of you needing their meds you do not send them away! Unacceptable. We are also not interested in excuses. What are you doing to resolve all of these issues?
Huge shout out to Emily in pharmacy. Called her after dealing with an extremely unprofessional dark haired young (lady) at the store on 104th and federal. Emily was kind, and very professional. She transferred all my prescriptions to this store quickly. Thank you so much Emily! You're going to go far in this field! Amazing customer service!
