AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I have been taking my vehicles to several Auto Shops in Colorado Springs including Dealerships, and I have been disappointed with the service I received and the cost for the service on multiple occasions. After taking my vehicles to AAMCO, I have never received anything but EXCELLENT service. The work is outstanding and cost effective, and I have not taken any of my vehicles anywhere else for the past few years. My children who live in Denver also bring their vehicles down here for service. It is hard to find a good and honest Auto Shop, but this one is, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I was having some issues with my car, I took it to a shop and they said I needed a whole new transmission. So I decided to take it to Ammco!! That is their specialty. They diagnosed the problem, I didn’t need a whole new one turns out. They took the time to figure it out. Russ and the guys were great to me!! Very acknowledged about cars. My car is working great now. Thank you Russ!! I appreciate everything you did for me and the money you saved me!!

Mike and his team are trustworthy and put the customer first over profit. We had a suspicious leak that another mechanic said was transmission fluid. Mike and his crew did a diagnostic, drove the car for a while, checked the seals and fluid levels and found no leak. They charged us nothing for their time and trouble!

POC Russ Bad customer service Doesn't give timely updates on status of the vehicle during diagnostics phase or communicate next steps. Lies about communications with extended warranty plans and refuses to use parts provided by said warranty. Full of excuses and attitude instead of properly communicating. Do not trust shops that can't communicate, read the bad reviews on here and beware. If it feels shady just leave. Will not return, slow untimely and unfriendly experience.

Russ is knowledgeable, dependable and is precise in what he told me about my car. (He also told me of another issue that was still under warranty at a different shop. ) I now have a reliable and very capable mechanic close to home. Thanks to Russ I am not frustrated at the car!!

I got my whole transmission rebuild and these guys really took care of me here. I live in the mountains and very reasonably priced, on top of the knowledge. They know exactly everything on my Cadillac and they were able to help my out big time. Thanks guys. Come check them out if you need help with anything.

Mike the owner, tried twice at two different locations to fix my transmission after it blew up on I-25, while I was driving the vehicle. There were parts that were glued in that should have bolted down. I called the location over and over again, the owner Mike told me to come in for a complete refund over $3000 and when I get there he threatens my life Upon arrival, there is another lady in the lobby that was charged $7000, and guess what, same problem. I have now filed a lawsuit with the EL Paso county Small Claims court. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! HE IS A SCAM ARTIST!

AAmco Transmission on Garden of the Gods Rd. did an outstanding job on my car it was completely done and it was Honest, trustworthy, Friendly, I recommend to every one and all my friends as well you just can't go wrong in having this shop repair your car or truck. Don, and Jim C thank you Mike

My experience at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care was absolutely amazing! Mike A. (Veteran/Owner), Mike M. (Veteran/Manager), Paul and the rest of the AAMCO team were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Suddenly, during the 2022 Christmas holidays, my 2002 Honda Accord began exhibiting loss of power and delayed transmission shifting. I initialing had the vehicle inspected by another shop, but was recommended to take it to a more qualified transmissions specialist. I called a few shops in the Colorado Springs area, but I decided to take my Honda to AAMCO T&TCC because of my initial conversation with Paul over the phone. I explained the symptoms I had experienced with the Honda and Paul recommend that I bring the car in to be inspected and diagnosed within 24-48 – just days before Christmas. Within 12 hours of dropping off the Honda, I received a call from Mike M. (Manger) with an initial update on the Honda, followed by another call within 24 hours from Mike A. (owner) to make me aware of the Honda’s diagnoses. Mike A. was very thorough and professional and provided a few courses of actions concerning repairing the Honda. Despite the timing of the situation and potential cost of the repair, I never felt pressured from Mike to make a costly decision, nor did Mike A. attempt to upsell me on anything. I told Mike my priorities and he provided a recommendation that was both practical and affordable. During the busiest time of the year, Christmas, my Honda had a newly rebuilt transmission installed in three days. I couldn’t be happier with the work performed by Mike A. and his AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care team. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAMCO T&TCC to anyone looking for an honest, professional, friendly, and affordable total car service shop. Easiest 5 Stars given!!!!

Called up Mike's shop and talked w him about the brake trouble I am having on a '11 4Runner. I am a DIY maintenance guy and instead of having me come into the shop we discussed the symptoms and he dropped a few suggestions ("Instead of spending money bringing it in, try..."). It is absolutely wonderful to have someone in this world who still respects others and is not out there just trying to scam a buck off of you. Thanks Mike! I will use your shop any time the need arises. Plus, I will let you know if the suggestions work... In the mean time here is a 5-Star rating for impeccable honesty and a great moral compass.
