I would give zero stars if I could!! I came back to this salon for a haircut after having a perm which I loved. The stylist was working on a young girl. She told me it would be 20 minutes. I sat waiting for an hour!! I was empathetic because she was the only stylist working. But what upset me was she didn’t even come to the front to apologize and say that it’s taking longer than she thought. I think I was purposely being dissed. The customer was obviously getting a lot of work done to her hair because the stylist kept blow drying it, curling it, and spraying her hair. Since I was only getting a haircut the stylist figured the old lady (me) could wait. She kept working on the young chick because she knew she was going to get a killer tip from her. It shouldn’t matter. Service should be the same whether you’re getting “just” a haircut or something big done to your hair. It’s sad. JC Penney used to be a nice store. It’s gone downhill big time!!

Management needs a complete overhaul. I visited today 5/9/23. And used the fitting rooms. I noticed they need sweeping and went to the jewelry counter to ask for a broom so I could clean my stall. I was directed toward the second dressing room to use. I found it was closed and baracaded with an isle separator. I grabbed the broom that was just inside and proceeded on my way to the original fitting room. I then was trailed and followed by 4 older female employees. One asked me where I got the broom and why I have it. I explained that the fitting room was a mess. She told be that I should had let an employee know I let her know I did. She told me she was just in there and it wasn't a mess. I proceeded to literally sweep the floor IN FRONT OF 4 EMPLOYEES and show them the pile. I shoved the pile outside the door of the fitting room. One lady asked me how many articles I have. I commented that that was odd because I've never been checked into a fitting room at the store before. She said there has been "things happening in the store" as I left the fitting room after trying on my clothes, I noticed the broom was gone but the pile of dirt, hair, and glitter was left. Aswell as no one to check me out of the fitting room to make sure I didn't steal my 4 articles of clothing? So yeah. Maybe yall should had reimbursed me for my labor.

11/25/22- Horrible customer service. They let a whole group of people cut the line for the black Friday coupons even though there were multiple groups telling them that the people had cut the line. This was highly disrespectful to the people that had been waiting out in the cold.

I picked up several online orders; everything had arrived sooner than I expected and every item was correct as ordered...and there were several reminders. I seldom can find exactly what I'm looking for in the store (style, size, etc.) The downside is of course not being able to try on what you've ordered and so..."returns," necessitating another trip. However, it pays to cruise the store for great bargains in other departments whenever you are there. Customer Service personnel are very nice and try really hard to please.

I needed some things and couldn't find them. Mother suggested Penney's so I went. I was successful! I feel they are severely understaffed, but the customers there were professional, guiding me to the product I needed and even interrupted their shopping to point out my need on sale--and it was a great sale! The cashiers were very polite, quickly helping a previous customer with a return and then helping me. Allnof the marketing questions were asked with no pressure and I felt ... appreciated for my presence. I will increase my usage of this source for my household needs.

The ladies were amazing in the Beauty department. Had good music going and were really helpful. I enjoyed my shopping there. I thought that they were going to be stuck up, because I was in my McDonald's clothes, but I was wrong. They helped me with everything I needed. I felt like I had a tour. They even helped me pick out a fragrance for my wife. Just don't tell her that.

Visited here recently and as a new mom the ladies in this store did everything they could to help me. I had a mix up with the sizes and they went above and beyond to comfort me. It really means a lot to me. Xoxo

Shoe selection is very limited. Area was a complete mess like Macy's shoe selection.

JCPenney you get two stars today, for the sheer simple fact if anybody actually watches your prices, they will realize that you doubled your prices this year so you could do a discount and actually try to make more of a profit. Shame on you! If you actually did a real sale you might actually make money. What you did this year is very sad and obvious. How is that legal? Seriously I kind of want to know. Just to know not to get you in trouble or anything. I don't have to shop there anymore even though I have been for 30 years, I guess that doesn't matter to some people.
