I love coming to this Pet Smart because it’s super close to my house and I take care for a lot of animals. This place saves me from emergencies like when I need a certain soil or sand for my aquarium, the right chemicals to make the water safe for the fish, and numerous other things I could list. Great people working here too. Love it!

The store part is just fine and we often get our pet supplies here. The grooming department is very friendly but we get very inconsistent / poor results for our doodle. I completely understand that if a doodle is matted they need to be shaved. We'd had that happen before as well. We brush our dog but we hadn't kept up with it as much as we wanted so I expected his body to need some shaving. What I didn't expect was for it to be all the way down to the skin but I suppose I can find some reasoning there if they really needed to do that in some particular place. However, his face does not need to be shaved down to the skin. We were very disappointed with the result. I don't think there was any attempt to actually clear out the smallest tangles around his face and not shave his entire face down to the skin, whiskers, eyelashes, everything. I've seen doodles with a lot more matted hair get a much better grooming result. We upgraded the package, got the best shampoo, did nail and teeth brushing. We were quite happy to pay for a good service but that's not really what we got. It seems lazy. The last time we took him here, he came back with a thin layer of hair at least and quite a bit of fur around his face. He doesn't even look like a doodle at the moment, poor guy. We won't be taking him here again.

Have consistently had the worst experiences with the grooming at PetSmart in Arvada. We've never had any of the issues they have when going to other groomers. The first time we went here they said that they couldn't get us in at a scheduled appointment because our corgi, who is usually calm and seemed calm when we picked him up, was being too hyper to brush. We rescheduled and were able to get him in at a later date, but upon getting our dog back he barely seemed brushed and they said they couldn't cut his nails because he was being 'fussy'. We were still charged full price for what felt like a terrible grooming. Wanting to give the store the benefit of the doubt we then rescheduled for another appointment on Monday 8/21, when we got to the appointment the associate in grooming seemed like she was in a rush to be done for the day and asked us our dogs weight, we said 30 pounds and she responded that she couldn't groom him because she has a 25 pound weight restriction on working with dogs. (Nothing was said to us about this when we booked) we were asked to bring him back Wednesday at a time that was not convenient for us, once the grooming was done we were again charged full price, but were told again they couldn't do the nails because he was being 'too fussy' (no other groomers we have taken him to have had any of these problems) -- again it was as though he wasn't brushed, and we were left wondering what we paid almost $70 for. -- We've not had any of these issues with other groomers, just PetSmart at that location. Based on the pattern that I've seen with my visits here, it seems like no one wants to work in their grooming department and will always have an excuse as to why they can't get our dog in or can't complete services and won't offer any discount when they can't complete services. Again, our dog is really well behaved and this hasn't happened anywhere else. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced and we likely won't be coming back again and would like a refund for the terrible service!

Helpful staff. I was just looking at prices for a client and it was almost closing time. That's when you can really tell what kind of employees you have. They were awesome. Thank you

They have the prescription food my dogs use. Always have a pretty good stock in and friendly staff. Our kids love to come see the live animals and fish also. Fun pet store ❤️

It can be hard to find an employee if you have questions to ask, but otherwise it's as good as you can expect a big-box retailer to be.

Dropped off the dog to get groomed, they washed him and brushed him but couldn’t dry him or do the nail trim because he was too stressed out—totally understandable!! But then they put him in a kennel for several hours to “calm down” instead of just calling us to pick him up—that part I don’t understand. So when we picked him up he was still wet and shedding and they didn’t get his nails done which is fine, but that shouldn’t have taken 4 hours and there’s no way that he was calmer in their kennel then he would have been at home. Poor baby :/

There was an absolutely crazy woman there today who kept screaming she was taking a cat home (even though it sounded like she had never spoken with the rescue organization). The employees handled it professionally and diplomatically, even when she became very disruptive. The various services I have had and shop here for are top notch. Of all the Petsmart stores in the area, this one is by far my favorite.

Came to Petsmart for the first time in a while & purchased a wood decor today for my bearded dragon. All this stuff was getting everywhere in my room that was falling out of the wood. Come to find out its termite frass!

It would be fine, as good as any other petsmart, but the cashier here (seemingly the only one, as I see her every time I visit) is especially pleasant and helpful
