Summary

"Good price, friendly service, and your salesman has the gift of gab!"

"Knowledgable staff including a staff member on her second shift."

"Just an overpriced Home Depot imo.. selection/variety isn't the greatest."

Michele Eye · almost 11 months ago

Went in for 3 things, ended up buying the 3 things on Amazon. Could not find an employee to help me, could not find what was needed. Even if I did find it the line to check out was at least 20 people deep to check yourself out! Easier to just buy on-line and get delivered to the house.

Owner's response · more than 10 months ago

We're so sorry for the inconvenience, Michele. We always want our customers to have a seamless shopping experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we'll be sure to share this with our Aurora team. We hope you visit us again soon.

Bought a lawn mower here and a few other supplies using the curbside delivery. The staff was really great. They loaded everything into my Jeep without a problem. I've been inside on a few occasions. There's plenty of room in the aisles and they're pretty clear of any clutter. Although I never had to ask an employee for assistance inside the store, I felt like there was enough on staff if I ever did need it.

Judy is an absolute gem! My husband and I had some questions about shutters and blinds, and she went above and beyond to help us out. Not only did she answer all of our questions with clarity and confidence, but she also provided us with some fantastic recommendations based on our preferences and needs. We were blown away by her knowledge and expertise in this area. To top it off, she was so friendly and approachable throughout our entire interaction. We left feeling confident and satisfied with our purchase, all thanks to Judy's outstanding customer service. We can't thank her enough and highly recommend her to anyone in need of assistance at Lowes. Thanks again, Judy!

My last visit is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. I bought 3 different types of potatoes to plant in the garden this spring. Unfortunately when I got ready to plant I opened each bag and only got 2 sprouts out of each. They normally come with at least 5 starter potatoes. This is not a ding on Lowes in general as I love what they do for Veterans Support and am usually very happy all around. I would recommend looking in the bags to verify that the potatoes are not old, mush or in my case hard as a rock.

Hi James, we're sorry to hear about the issues you're having with your purchase. We pride ourselves on offering the best plants. We're sharing your feedback with our Aurora team right away. We hope you give us another chance in the future.

Don't get me wrong, this location is my very favorite Lowe's Most of employees are outstanding. Today I went to the store to grab several perennial flowers, this location has an amazing flower section. One of perennial didn't show any hardiness zone so I asked to the cashier in the garden center. She said if our store carries it, that means it's hardy in Aurora. When I came home I looked up in the Monrovia site and found by myself that this plant is not hardy in our zone 5. I didn't feel she was really trying to figure it out to help me. I understand that it's very hot and sunny day today, so she must feel tired or exhausted but some clients needs help. Just before, I also had stopped at HD and with a question about a plant, the cashier looked up it with his own phone and asked his college to help me. Hopefully the cashier lady at the garden center understands that because of her incorrect information, I had to drive back to the Lowes again and wait in line to return these items.

Hi HJ, thanks for sharing your experience. We're glad that you love Lowe's, but we're sorry to hear that your recent experience didn't match our high standards of service and hospitality. We always want our customers to have a seamless shopping experience at Lowe's. Customer service is our priority and this is not what you should expect at our Aurora store. We appreciate your feedback and hope you give us another chance in the future.

Self scan cashier hovered over us as if we were stealing or not scanning items correctly! Absolutely, we don't have a problem with them checking my items and matching to my receipt. But wait for the customer to finish the transaction first. Bad customer relations and/or experience for sure!

Clearly, from this level of poor service, Lowe’s has nothing but contempt for their customers. It’s really the only conclusion I can make from my experiences here. There are more customers waiting to check out, than otherwise shopping in the store because Lowe’s only has 3 cash registers open and the lines are spilling back into the aisles. If you do an online order you will be waiting just as long simply to pick up what you’ve already purchased because despite having 3 of these monkeys handling the pick up desk, they can’t seem to get organized. Despite the long lines to pick up your online orders, they have inexplicably sectioned off a dozen of the best parking spaces for curbside pickup. Hey, geniuses: if it takes you just as long to fulfill an online order, than just to shop the store and check out conventionally, there’s literally no point in ordering online.

Jesse, we're delighted you like our parking spaces. We're sorry to hear we didn't live up to your expectations. We're always working to enhance our customer service so we can provide a seamless purchasing experience. We'll share this feedback with our Aurora store. Thanks for letting us know how we're doing.

This is the second Lowe's experience where the customer service is atrocious. One exception was a supervisor at this location who was very helpful. I was shipped something that I didnt order, not even remotely close. Called back to finalize a replacement as recommended by Lowe's customer service and spoke with a manager who exhibited extremely poor customer service. Talking over, not listening, not interested in helping customer and more. Terrible and will be hard pressed to use Lowe's again.

Lowes usually is out of what I need. The garden center is typically good at this time of year but Home Depot is my first stop for things though. My last trip there, I was looking for Tuftex(?) Clear PVC panels for like putting on a greenhouse. Online it indicated they had several panels available but only had one scratched up one that I could find when I went to the store.

Owner's response · 1 year ago

Hi Greg, we'd like to help out. Whether a complex project or a simple question, we've got your back. Please reach out to us at 1-800-445-6937 (8:30am - 7pm ET, 7 days a week). We're confident we can help you find the home improvement hardware or materials you need.

I had to return a lawn mower blade. It was the wrong size. I did not return it until 2 months later. With blade and recept in hand, I was able to return it and pick up the correct blade. Thanks, Lowes, for standing behind your products

Owner's response · 1 year ago

Your complete satisfaction is our first priority! Thank you for this feedback, Frank! We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
